Inauguration of the tournament.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: The Bangladesh Youth Festival Victory Day Cricket Tournament 2025 was officially inaugurated in Kuwait, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Association and held under the patronage of the Bangladesh Embassy.

The tournament opened on Friday at the Al-Rai Cricket Ground, with Biman Bangladesh Airlines Country Manager AKM Farhad presiding over the ceremony. The event was hosted by the association’s General Secretary, Moazzem Hossain, and attended by convener Mir Mosaroff Hossain, acting president Sawardi, Bangladesh Press Club president and senior journalist Moin Uddin Sarker Sumon, and tournament advisors Shoaib Ahmed, Main Uddin Main, Akhtaruzzaman Shams, and Shafiqul Islam Shafiq.

Joint convener Zayedur Rahman, Selim Khan, members Liton Miyazi, Fayez Rahman Sumon, Ismail Sobhan, and a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates were also present.

A total of 10 teams of Bangladeshi expatriates are taking part in this year’s tournament. The participating teams are:

Bangladesh XI, Jilib Expatriate Cricket Club, Khulna Titans, Bangladesh Friends Sporting Club, IIIY Sporting Club, Bangladesh Legends, B-Baria XI, Jilib Knight Riders, Bengal Avengers, and Comilla Victorians.

The media partner for the entire event is the Bangladesh Press Club, Kuwait.
