KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait hosted a solemn condolence book signing event from 04 January 2026 to 06 January 2026. The event was organized to honour the memory and legacy of Begum Khaleda Zia, the three-time former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who passed away on 30 December 2025.
Ambassadors, diplomats, members of international organizations, representatives of news media, representatives ofthe Kuwait government and other dignitaries based in Kuwait visited the Embassy to sign the condolence book, providing a platform to pay tribute to her political legacy, and to convey their solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh at this period of national mourning.
In a profound gesture of sympathy, the State of Kuwait’s leadership, including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, had earlier sent official cables of condolence to the President of Bangladesh, following the former Prime Minister's passing.
The Embassy extends its sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, diplomatic missions, international organizations and individuals who took the time to visit or send messages of condolence.
