KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Director of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Yousef has issued a decision to ban shrimp fishing in Kuwaiti waters for seven months effective from Jan 1, 2019, reports Al-Rai daily. The ban also includes preventing Kuwaiti fishing trawlers from fishing for shrimps in international waters and distribution of shrimps during the same period, which ends on July 31, 2019. The decision, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, however allows the import of fresh and frozen shrimps by air and via the Shuwaikh Port.
