KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: As part of efforts exerted by the Ministry of Interior to provide sufficient numbers of domestic workers and to reduce the cost of recruitment, the security authorities have issued a decision to lift the ban on the employment of some African nationalities which have no representation (embassies) in Kuwait such the Ivory Coast, Mali, Benin, Senegal in addition to Nepal, and Vietnam, reports Al-Anba daily.

However, the Ministry of Interior continues to ban the recruitment of domestic workers from Cameroon, Congo, Burundi, Eritrea and Liberia also because they have no embassies in Kuwait, while the Ministry prevents the entry of some nationals from African countries upon instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
