KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The mare Bakhita Al-Ghanayem, owned and trained by Yousef Al-Khalifi and ridden by Salem Al-Ajmi, captured the “Ajmal” Cup, owned by Mohammed Jassim Al-Marzouq, in the Egyptian C4 mares’ race over 1,400 meters with a time of 1:49.31. The victory came in the sixth race of the eighth meeting at the Kuwait Hunting and Equestrian Club.
Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser, Secretary General of the Club and Chairman of the Supreme Horse Racing Authority, along with Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi, owner of “Al-Raya Stable,” presented the trophy to the winning team.
In the seventh race (Mixed – C4) over 2,200 meters, Shaaf from Al-Hamoud Stables, trained by Naif Hameed and ridden by Alberto, took home the Kuwait Shooting and Equestrian Club Cup with a time of 2:28.29.
The fifth race saw Dhakir, owned by Al-Damak, trained by Sultan Al-Damak, and ridden by Saud Al-Dosari, finish first in the Handicap 0–45 C4 race for trained riders over 1,400 meters, clocking 1:30.47.
Earlier races saw victories for Dora Benny, Kayan, Batal, and Optic, each earning trophies from the Kuwait Shooting and Equestrian Club in the first through fourth races.
