Bahrain’s GPIC Hit in Drone Attack, Emergency Teams Contain Fires

MANAMA, Apr 5: The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) in Bahrain has confirmed that several of its operational units were targeted in an early-hours attack involving Iranian drones on Sunday, resulting in fires at the affected facilities.

According to the company, all fires have since been fully extinguished and the situation is now under control. No casualties have been reported, while damage assessment teams are currently on site to determine the full extent of the impact.

Emergency response teams were deployed immediately in coordination with Civil Defence and other relevant authorities to contain the incident and secure the facility. GPIC said the safety of its workforce remains its top priority as investigations continue.
