Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa receives Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
MANAMA, Dec 22: Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al- Khalifa has affirmed the deeply rooted and fraternal historical ties that bind the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait – ties that are growing stronger and more distinguished thanks to the mutual commitment to enhancing and consolidating them. According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the remarks came during the King’s reception of Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, who was visiting the Kingdom. The King praised the close cooperation and joint efforts, particularly in the media, cultural, and youth sectors, which are witnessing growth and development to achieve what is best for both countries and their brotherly peoples. The King also commended the significant role played by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in supporting and strengthening Bahraini Kuwaiti relations in all fields.
The agency added that Minister Al-Mutairi conveyed to the King of Bahrain the greetings and appreciation on behalf of His Highness Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bahrain. The King of Bahrain, in turn, commended him with conveying his greetings and sincere wishes to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait for continued health and happiness, and for further development and prosperity for the State of Kuwait and its people. The minister expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Bahraini King for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, and his deep appreciation for His Majesty’s role and efforts in strengthening relations. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa on Monday affirmed that the historic relations and close bonds between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait are grounded in firm foundations of cooperation and enduring brotherly solidarity.
The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said the remarks came during the Crown Prince’s meeting at Gudaibiya Palace with Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, in the presence of Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and senior officials. The Crown Prince noted the steady growth and progress of bilateral cooperation across all fields, supported by the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in pursuit of shared aspirations. Al-Mutairi conveyed the greetings of His Highness Amir, Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
The Bahraini Crown Prince asked Al-Mutairi to relay his greetings to Kuwait’s leadership and expressed best wishes for Kuwait’s further advancement, underscoring the importance of expanding partnerships, mainly in media, culture, and youth to the benefit of both countries and peoples. For his part, Al-Mutairi thanked the Crown Prince for his continued support in strengthening Bahraini- Kuwaiti relations and expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality, wishing Bahrain lasting success. On Sunday, Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, discussed with Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al-Noaimi, in Manama, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the media and cultural fields. This took place during a meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters, where Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al- Noaimi, received the Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom along with his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two ministers affirmed the depth of the close fraternal relations that unite Bahrain and Kuwait, rooted in longstanding historical ties and solid foundations of cooperation and integration, supported by the care and attention of the leaderships of the two brotherly countries. s emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences in a way that contributes to developing joint media work, strengthening its professional mission, and enhancing its presence at both the regional and international levels. The meeting also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, in addition to discussing developments in the media landscape, current challenges, and ways to enhance Gulf media coordination in line with the rapid transformations in the media sector. On the sidelines of the meeting, Ministers Al-Mutairi and Al-Noaimi, along with a number of ministry officials, toured the Ministry of Information complex, which included the National Contact Center, the main studio of the News Center, and the Bahrain Radio building. The Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Information for the warm reception. Minister Al-Mutairi praised Bahrain for the notable development it is witnessing in the media sector and for the effective efforts it is making to strengthen joint Gulf media cooperation, in a manner that fulfills shared aspirations and serves the higher interests of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (KUNA)
