KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: Bahrain Ice Hockey Club team marked their debut in the Kuwaiti Local League Championship for the 2023-2024 season, engaging in a match against the league leaders, the Warriors.

Fahid Al-Ajmi, President of the Kuwaiti Winter Games Club, the organizing body for this local tournament, highlighted that Bahrain's team, participating since the 2018-2019 season, is pivotal for laying the groundwork for a consistent Gulf league in this Winter Olympic sport.

Al-Ajmi further pointed out that Bahrain's involvement in the championship would foster the exchange of experiences, thereby elevating the technical proficiency of the players. He noted that the robust technical standards of the tournament motivated the Bahraini team to join the competition alongside five other local teams. Al-Ajmi warmly welcomed the Bahraini team, expressing appreciation for their visits to Kuwait and their adherence to the tournament schedule for their matches.
