Bahrain Street cafes encroachments razed

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: The emergency team of the Kuwait Municipality, Hawalli governorate branch targeted the Bahrain Street in Salmiya, especially the cafés, and demolished encroachments and infringements on state property during an expanded campaign in the area, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the Municipal sources the café owners had encroached on state property and put chairs and tables under tents (umbrellas) to serve the customers in clear violation of the laws and regulations in force in the country.

The team was led by Ahmad Ramadan and the campaign was organized upon instructions of the director of the Hawalli branch, Eng Mohammed Sarkhouh who ordered to remove all infringements on state lands, whether umbrellas or what was placed in the areas opposite their shop without a permit.
