Bahrain Says It Intercepted Iranian Missiles and Drones in Latest Attack

MANAMA, Jun 10: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said Iran has continued what it described as a “systematic hostile approach” through missile and drone attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In a statement, the military said its air defence systems “confronted, intercepted, and destroyed” a number of incoming aerial threats, adding that the armed forces remain at the highest levels of readiness to protect the country.

The General Command urged the public to exercise caution and avoid approaching or touching any suspicious objects that may be remnants of intercepted projectiles, instructing residents to report such findings to authorities immediately. It also said specialized engineering units are prepared to safely handle and dispose of any debris.

The statement further said that the use of missiles and drones against civilian areas and private property constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law, while praising the readiness and vigilance of Bahrain’s armed forces in carrying out their duties.
