MANAMA, Jun 11: Bahrain’s General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said Iran is continuing what it described as “systematic hostile attacks” involving missiles and drones targeting civilians in the kingdom.
In a statement, the military said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of aerial threats, adding that its units remain at the highest level of readiness to protect the country.
The General Command urged the public to exercise caution and avoid approaching or touching any suspicious objects that may be remnants of intercepted projectiles, warning that such materials should be reported immediately to authorities. It said specialized engineering units are prepared to handle and neutralize such objects safely.
The statement further alleged that the use of missiles and drones against civilian areas constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.
The Bahrain Defence Force said its personnel remain on high alert and expressed confidence in their operational readiness amid ongoing regional tensions.
