MANAMA, Jun 3: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed three missiles along with several drones that it said were targeting civilian sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a statement, the military accused Iran of continuing what it described as a “systematic hostile approach” by launching missiles and drones toward civilian targets, calling the actions a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.” It said Bahraini forces responded with high efficiency, citing advanced combat readiness and continuous defensive preparedness.
The General Command confirmed that all military units remain at the highest levels of alert to defend the Kingdom and safeguard its security and stability. It also urged citizens and residents to remain cautious and avoid approaching any suspicious objects or debris that may result from the attacks, advising immediate reporting to the competent authorities.
It added that the Royal Field Engineering Unit is fully prepared to handle and safely neutralize any remnants in accordance with approved technical procedures to ensure public safety. The statement further reiterated Bahrain’s pride in the readiness and professionalism of its armed forces in protecting the nation and its people.
