Bahrain Neutralized 74 Iranian Missiles, 117 Drones Till Now

Manama, Mar 5: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems have continued to intercept successive waves of what it described as Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom.

Since the beginning of the escalation, BDF air defences have destroyed 74 missiles and 117 drones aimed at Bahrain’s airspace, territorial waters, and land, according to the statement.

The General Command expressed pride in the combat readiness and vigilance of its personnel, praising what it called the sustained operational efficiency in defending the Kingdom. It affirmed that Bahrain’s air defence capabilities continue to ensure the protection of the nation’s skies.

Authorities urged citizens and residents to remain indoors unless necessary and to exercise extreme caution. The public was advised to rely exclusively on official sources for updates, refrain from filming military operations or sharing unverified information, and avoid approaching impact sites or suspicious objects. Debris locations should not be photographed or accessed, the statement added, stressing that official government media channels remain the sole authoritative source for alerts and warnings.

The General Command further stated that the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian infrastructure and private property constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, warning that such attacks pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
