Bahrain Intercepts Over 90 Iranian Missiles and 150 Drones Amid Ongoing Attacks

MANAMA, March 8: The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command announced that its air defense systems continue to confront successive waves of Iranian attacks, successfully intercepting and destroying 92 ballistic missiles and 151 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting the Kingdom since the onset of the aggression.

In a statement, the BDF General Command praised the vigilance and combat readiness of its personnel, commending their operational excellence and unwavering commitment to defending the Kingdom. It affirmed that the competence and dedication of Bahrain’s air defense forces provide reassurance that the nation’s skies remain secure.

The statement urged the public to remain indoors and avoid going out except for absolute necessities. Citizens were also advised to stay away from affected areas, refrain from filming military operations or debris sites, and avoid spreading unverified information, relying only on official government sources for updates.

The BDF further condemned the ongoing missile and drone attacks, stressing that targeting civilian facilities and private property constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. It warned that such indiscriminate aggression poses a direct threat to regional peace and stability.
