MANAMA, Mar 2: Bahrain’s military said it has intercepted 61 Iranian missiles and 34 drones since Iran started attacking the country following U.S.-Israeli strikes on Tehran over the weekend.
Bahrain hosts the U.S 5th fleet and was hit by Iran as part of its response to the ongoing U.S.-Israeli strikes.
The Bahraini military said the Iranian missiles and drones targeted civilian facilities and private properties in attacks constituting a “flagrant violation of the principles of international and humanitarian law.”
“These indiscriminate and heinous attacks represent a direct threat to regional safety and security,” it said.

Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet, said it intercepted 61 missiles and 34 attack drones launched against it.
Some fire has gotten through, striking buildings and the naval base.
