Bahrain intercepts 143 missiles, 244 drones destroyed since start of Iranian attacks

MANAMA, Mar 22: The Bahrain Defence Force announced that its air defence systems have successfully intercepted 143 ballistic missiles and 244 drones targeting the Kingdom since hostilities began, highlighting the vigilance and operational readiness of its personnel.

The General Command praised the exceptional performance of BDF forces in maintaining Bahrain’s airspace security, reinforcing confidence that the skies over the Kingdom remain protected. Authorities urged citizens and residents to exercise caution, avoid affected areas, refrain from filming military operations or debris, and rely only on official government channels for updates.

Bahrain’s military further condemned the attacks, calling the use of missiles and drones against civilian areas a violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to regional peace and security.
