MANAMA, Mar. 11: The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command announced that its air defence systems have continued to intercept successive waves of attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Since the start of hostilities, BDF air defences have intercepted and destroyed 106 ballistic missiles and 177 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aimed at the kingdom.
The General Command praised the high level of combat readiness and operational efficiency demonstrated by BDF personnel, affirming that Bahrain’s airspace remains secure.
Authorities also urged the public to remain indoors and leave their homes only when necessary. Residents were advised to stay away from affected areas and suspicious objects, avoid filming military operations or debris sites, and rely only on official sources for accurate information and updates.
The BDF stated that the targeting of civilian areas and private property using ballistic missiles and drones represents a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. It added that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
