MANAMA, March 12: The Bahrain Defence Force announced that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 186 drones (UAVs) and 112 missiles launched toward the Kingdom since Iranian attacks on Bahrain beginning 28 February 2026.
In a statement issued Thursday, the military said the interceptions were carried out through the “continuous vigilance” of its personnel as they confronted successive waves of hostile aerial threats. The BDF Air Defence Systems have remained on high alert to counter attacks targeting the Kingdom.
The armed forces reaffirmed their readiness to defend the country’s airspace and protect national security, while expressing prayers for the safety and stability of the Kingdom and its people.
