MANAMA, Mar 14: The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) said its air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 124 ballistic missiles and 203 drones targeting Bahrain since the outbreak of hostilities.
In a statement, the BDF General Command said its air defences continue to counter successive waves of what it described as hostile attacks launched from Iran. The command praised the vigilance and combat readiness of its personnel, highlighting their sustained operational effectiveness in safeguarding the kingdom.
The military said the performance of Bahrain’s forces reflects a high level of preparedness and ensures that the country’s airspace remains secure.
Authorities also urged citizens and residents to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines, including staying away from affected areas and suspicious objects, avoiding filming or photographing military operations or debris sites, and refraining from spreading unverified information.
The BDF advised the public to rely only on official government channels for updates and advisories.
The General Command further said that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian areas and private property represents a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, warning that such attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
