MANAMA, Jun 2: Bahrain’s Interior Ministry has announced a ban on travel by Bahraini citizens to Iran and Iraq until further notice, citing ongoing regional security tensions and concerns over national security and public safety.
The ministry said the decision comes in light of what it described as continued Iranian aggression and the evolving security situation in the region. It warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who violates the travel restriction.
Authorities also noted that the measure is aimed at safeguarding citizens amid escalating tensions in the region. Bahrain was among the countries reportedly affected by recent regional strikes linked to the ongoing conflict.
