MANAMA, March 11: The Bahrain Ministry of Interior announced that authorities have arrested six individuals for filming and sharing videos related to the aftermath of the recent Iranian attacks, which included expressions of sympathy and praise for the hostile acts.
According to the ministry, the suspects were identified by the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate, which said the videos were circulated through social media accounts and could mislead public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and harm security and public order in Bahrain.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures have been taken and the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The ministry urged the public to rely on official sources for information and warned against circulating or reposting unverified videos or news, stressing that doing so may lead to legal accountability and could undermine the security and safety of the kingdom.
