Bahrain announces three-day mourning on Kuwait Amirs demise

KUWAIT, Sept 29: Kingdom of Bahrain announced Tuesday official mourning and flags will be flown at half-mast for three days, for the demise Kuwaiti Amir His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Bahrain News agency (BNA) said, the Royal Court, upon an order from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, has mourned the late His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad.

King Hamad mourns His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, who passed away following a lifetime full of giving and achievements in serving his people and his Arab and Islamic nation and supporting its causes, the statement said.


“He was a wise leader who devoted his life to serving his people and nation and to serving humanity. We express our sincere condolences to our brothers, the honorable Al-Sabah family and the dear people of Kuwait,” the statement added.


“The Kingdom of Bahrain, which was in pain by this grievous affliction, expresses its sincere condolences to the honorable Al-Sabah family and the government and the people of Kuwait, praying to God Almighty to grant the deceased the fullness of His mercy and to dwell him in His spacious heaven, and to inspire the Al Sabah family and the brotherly Kuwaiti people with patience and solace,” it added.(KUNA)
