MANAMA, Jul 21: The Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks targeting the Kingdom on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

In a statement, the BDF General Command accused Iran of continuing what it described as a “systematic hostile approach” through attacks targeting civilians in Bahrain.

The military said its forces responded with “firm will and high combat readiness,” adding that all weapons systems and military units remain at the highest level of readiness and under heightened defensive alert to protect Bahrain.

The BDF did not provide further details on the number or type of incoming threats, or whether any damage or casualties were reported.
