Bahrain Air Defences Intercept 45 Iranian Missiles, 9 Drones

MANAMA, Mar 1: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced that the Kingdom’s air defence systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed 45 missiles and nine drones launched in hostile Iranian attacks, including drones identified as the Shahed-136 type.

In a statement, the General Command reassured the public that Bahrain’s defensive systems remain fully operational and at the highest level of readiness to counter any threats to national security and public safety.

It added that specialised field teams are continuing operations to secure the targeted sites and ensure the safety of citizens and residents. The Command affirmed that its personnel remain vigilant and fully prepared to confront any aggression aimed at undermining the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The General Command urged the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant, advising residents to stay at home unless necessary, avoid circulating rumours or inaccurate information, and rely solely on official sources for updates. It also called on the public to keep a safe distance from affected sites.
