MANAMA, July 18: Bahrain’s Defense Force announced Saturday that its air defense systems had successfully intercepted and repelled new Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom.

In a statement, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) said Iran was continuing what it described as a “systematic hostile campaign” involving attacks aimed at civilians inside Bahrain.

The BDF confirmed that all military units remain on the highest level of readiness and are maintaining full defensive alert status to protect the Kingdom and its residents.

It said the deliberate targeting of civilians and private property through missiles and drones represents a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

The Defense Force urged citizens and residents to remain vigilant, avoid approaching any suspicious or unidentified objects found after the attacks, and immediately report such items to the concerned authorities.

The statement reaffirmed the BDF’s commitment to safeguarding Bahrain’s security and responding to any threats against the Kingdom.
