Responsibilities

• Developing and demonstrating a broad set of technology skills in Java technologies, Service Oriented Architecture concepts, Open Source libraries and frameworks, and technology architecture concepts.
• Collaborating within a project team comprised of talented employees with diverse and complementary skills.
• Performing code reviews and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements.
• Supporting issue analysis and fix activities, as well as production issue resolution.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning Java-based applications.
• Using configuration management and integration/build automation tools to manage and deploy Java code.
• Applying knowledge of common, relevant architecture frameworks in defining and evaluating application architectures.

Qualifications

• 5 years of work experience developing Java and using the core Spring framework.
• 5 years of work experience using Java development tools
• Experience with Java-based MVC frameworks
• Experience with Javascript, JSP, HTML
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with databases, SQL, data modeling and performance tuning
• Experience with mobile (IOS, HTML5, Android) and responsive web development
• Experience with performance testing
• Experience with Agile SCRUM
• Experience with issue tracking software (JIRA)
