KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: Khaled Al-Shammari, the Director of the Office of the Director General and the official spokesperson for the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), announced today that the Authority has included measures to prevent the registration of single individuals in private housing. This is achieved through the Authority’s automated procedures and systems.

Al-Shammari made these remarks in a press statement, highlighting that the Authority is an active member of the joint government committee dedicated to combating and preventing the housing of bachelors in private housing areas. The committee receives complaints and conducts on-site verifications of any violations related to this issue. He also noted that this initiative has been in place since 2021, accessible to the public through the residents’ data service on the Authority’s website, which is now conveniently available on the unified government application. He further explained that the service empowers property owners to review the expats’ data within their buildings and allows them to automatically file a complaint if any of the data is found to be incorrect, facilitating corrections as needed
