KUWAIT CITY, July 11: The Hawally municipality’s emergency team and rapid intervention force, in collaboration with several government agencies, targeted bachelor housing in model areas in Salmiya Sunday, which resulted in issuing warning notices and cutting power supply to six residential apartment buildings, reports Al-Anba daily. The team also issued warnings to investment property owners for modifying structures and illegal power connections, and trespassing on government property.

The head of the Hawally Municipality Emergency and Rapid Intervention Team, Ibrahim Al- Sabaan told the daily, the team has discovered several properties that have tampered with electrical connections, and the current has been cut off from these properties.

Al-Sabaan said that the municipality’s campaigns against housing bachelors are under the supervision and follow-up of the Director-General of the Municipality, and that any property that is found to be renting to bachelors will be issued a violation according to the established procedures. He pointed out that the power supply has been cut off for 25 violating properties in Hawally since the start of the campaign and urged citizens to report any violating property so that the committee can take legal action against them.
