KUWAIT CITY, April 26: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Undersecretary and Secretary- General of the High Commission for Promotion of Moderation Eng Fareed Emadi has affirmed that the commission is implementing its strategic plan in combating extremism and violence, reports Al-Anba daily.
In a press statement, Emadi disclosed the commission is also keen on maintaining societal security and peace as part of efforts to implement the contents of the national document for promotion of moderation. Emadi said the commission conducted a series of training programs and other related activities this month, along with a number of official bodies like the Mosques Sector in the ministry (Imams and preachers).
