KUWAIT CITY, Jul 25: The Australian government has raised its travel advice for Kuwait to “Do Not Travel” due to the deteriorating security situation in the region, the Australian Embassy in Kuwait said in an advisory update.

The embassy urged Australians currently in Kuwait to prioritize their safety, follow instructions from Kuwaiti authorities and remain alert to developments.

Australians in Kuwait were advised to:

  • Follow local warnings and guidance issued by Kuwaiti authorities
  • Check flight schedules and border arrangements as closures and cancellations could occur at short notice
  • Consider departure options if a safe opportunity becomes available
  • Ensure they have sufficient supplies of food, water and essential medicines

The advisory did not provide specific details on the security developments behind the decision but cited the worsening regional situation.

The embassy also provided emergency consular assistance contacts for Australians requiring urgent support.
