KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Australian Ambassador to Kuwait, Melissa Kelly, urged members of the Australian community to exercise extreme caution amid ongoing security developments, emphasizing that the current period “is not easy” and that the coming days may bring additional challenges.

In a video message addressed to her citizens, Ambassador Kelly said that security warnings continue to be issued frequently, and drone and missile attacks are ongoing around the clock, making it essential to remain in safe locations and fully comply with the instructions of official authorities in Kuwait. She explained that the embassy building is currently closed as a precautionary measure, but consular work is continuing remotely, with the embassy team handling communications, responding to emails, and providing assistance to citizens as needed. It is possible to contact the embassy through the 24-hour emergency line in Australia, which ensures that messages reach the embassy staff. The ambassador urged members of the community to follow the embassy’s official platforms and register with the “Smart Traveller” service to receive updates promptly, reaffirming the mission’s commitment to keeping citizens informed of any developments as soon as they occur.
