‘Attendance vital in evaluation’; Workers to get bonus

KUWAIT CITY, March 27: Government agencies have taken great strides in evaluating the performance of their employees, reports Al-Rai daily. Results of the job performance evaluation will be used to determine who among the employees will receive the excellent performance bonus this year.

Sources from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) told the daily that based on correspondences between the CSC and government agencies, the employees‘ attendance is one of the factors considered in the evaluation. Sources confirmed the government agencies have started the evaluation of their employees, indicating the results will be forwarded to the ministers for approval. Sources said many departments in these entities have completed the evaluation process, while others completed the evaluation of half of their employees.

Sources clarified the completion of evaluation varies from one department to another, depending on the number of employees and the nature of their work. Official data revealed that the government spent only 32.8 percent of the budget allotted for development projects as at the end of the third quarter of current fiscal 2021/2022 – KD562.6 million out of KD1.7 billion, reports Al-Anba daily.

Data issued by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development show that the current year’s development plan includes 131 projects. By the end December 2021; 51 projects were in the preparatory stage, five in the delivery stage, seven did not start yet, three were completed, and 65 were still in the implementation stage
