Attacks on medical staff in Kuwait continue as 2 nurses assaulted

KUWAIT CITY, May 8: A series of attacks on the medical staff continues. After a Jordanian attacked on a nurse at the Maternity Hospital a few days ago, yesterday morning, the hospital witnessed an attack on an Indian nurse by a Bedoun while she was on duty, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source told the daily when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the accident, specifically in the casualty department of the Al-Sabah Hospital, a police patrol from the Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station went to the place and the security men discovered that a non-Kuwaiti youth had assaulted the nurse following an argument with him.

The Bedoun was arrested and taken to the police station and a case of beating an employee on duty has been filed against him. The security source added that the nurse has submitted a medical report on the injuries she has suffered, including a deep wound over the right eyebrow. She received four stitches.
