KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: The Supreme Organizing Committee for the Kuwait Asian Shooting Championship, scheduled at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Ranges Complex from January 12 to 22, has finalized its preparations for the championship’s commencement tomorrow. Teams from across Asia have been engaged in training sessions over the past few days, culminating today.

As participants gear up for the Asian Shooting Championship, their sights are set on qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Delegations from various Asian countries have started arriving in Kuwait, with the President of the International Shooting Federation, Luciano Rossi from Italy, joining in to witness the tournament.

Kuwait’s team, touted as the strongest in the competition, has garnered praise. Saudi delegation official, Badr Al-Ajmi, highlighted the keenness of Saudi shooters to achieve notable results, commending the support provided by the Saudi Shooting Federation in their preparations.

Bahrain’s delegation head, Ali Al-Sulaibikh, acknowledged Kuwait’s exceptional organizational and technical standards, expressing that the Bahraini team faces a significant challenge in a championship boasting international and Olympic-level competitors.

The head of the Iranian delegation, Amir Chavoshi, emphasized the ideal atmosphere at the shooting range complex, commending Kuwait’s track record in hosting successful shooting championships. Iran, with six male and female shooters in trap and skeet competitions, aspires to secure spots in the upcoming Paris Olympics, having diligently prepared through intensive training.
