Asian robbed by police impersonators

KUWAIT CITY, March 25: The Ahmadi police are looking for 2 unidentified people for impersonating police and stealing KD 880 from an Asian, reports Al-Anba daily. The Asian in his complaint said he withdrew the money from a bank and immediately after leaving the bank premises the men approached him and said they were police. They accused him of carrying ‘dirty’ money, proceeds from the sale of drugs. The two impersonators then drove off with the money and told him to check with the area police station. Police will see the CCTV camera to arrest the suspects.

Two caught for drugs: Police have arrested a bedoun and a young Kuwaiti woman for consuming drugs in a public place, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received several calls from beach goers complaining about a couple on the seashore giggling, embracing each other and smoking ‘something’. Police rushed to the beach and seized the couple. At the time of arrest the couple appeared disoriented. Police found in the handbag of the woman a piece of hashish and special kind of paper. The couple has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
