Asian held with porn stuff; Man caught selling liquor

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in possession of a number of CDs containing pornographic material. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area based on directives of Farwaniya Security Director Major General Saleh Al-Enezi when they noticed an Asian expatriate carrying a large bag on his shoulder.

When they approached him, he dumped the bag and started to run but securitymen managed to stop him. They checked the bag to find CDs containing pornographic material. When interrogated, he confessed to selling such CDs to expatriates at KD 2 per CD. He was arrested and referred with the CDs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was arrested in Khaitan area for selling liquor. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Khaitan area when they noticed a man speeding and ordered him to pull over. However, he ignored the orders and drove off, forcing securitymen to chase him.

After they managed to stop him, they checked his details to discover he is an Indian. They checked his vehicle and found 40 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. He was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. In addition, an Asian man was arrested along with an Asian woman after securitymen discovered that she was in violation of the residency law and was reported as absconding.
