KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: As part of its ongoing efforts to curb reckless driving and ensure the safety of all road users, the Ministry of Interior has taken swift action against a group of motorists involved in dangerous driving in the Jleeb area.

According to the ministry, security services monitored a video that circulated widely on social media showing several Asian residents driving luxury vehicles recklessly and irresponsibly, placing their own lives and the safety of others at serious risk.

In response, the Farwaniya Security Directorate, represented by the Jleeb Area Command, immediately moved to the location of the incident near a private school and launched the necessary investigations. Authorities determined that the gathering was linked to a celebration marking the end of the first academic semester.

Security personnel recorded the license plate numbers of the vehicles involved and identified the drivers. Investigations revealed that the vehicles were rented. The vehicles, along with the individuals involved, were subsequently seized and apprehended, and all required legal procedures were initiated before referring the case to the competent authorities.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated that it will not tolerate any conduct that endangers public safety. It stressed that security agencies continue to closely monitor violations shared on social media platforms and will take firm legal action against offenders without leniency or exception, to protect lives and property and uphold the rule of law.
