KUWAIT CITY, Jun 1: Ahmadi Police have referred an Asian expatriate to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation after he was found in possession of suspected narcotics during a patrol in the Mangaf area.
According to a security source, an Ahmadi patrol stopped the suspect at a traffic light after noticing erratic behaviour. When officers asked him to pull over, he reportedly became agitated and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.
A search of his vehicle led to the discovery of 13 small bags containing a substance later confirmed by forensic analysis to be methamphetamine (crystal meth). Authorities have launched an investigation into the source of the drugs, possible users linked to the suspect, and the extent of his alleged involvement in drug trafficking activities.
During initial questioning, the expatriate denied knowledge of the narcotics found in his possession, reportedly attempting to distance himself from the charges as legal proceedings continue.
