KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Mina Abdullah area for running an illegal liquor manufacturing factory in his apartment. According to security sources, when Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa received a tipoff about an Asian expatriate manufacturing liquor in his apartment, investigations were launched based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali.

An undercover agent was sent to the suspect and after the information was confirmed, Ahmadi securitymen raided the apartment and confiscated 108 bottles of locally manufactured liquor, 75 barrels of the liquor, some gas cylinders and a special substance used for manufacturing liquor. The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Security sources affirmed that Ahmadi securitymen will continue to exert efforts to ensure violators of law are arrested.
