Asian expat arrested for selling recycled revenue stamps – Nepalese liquor peddler nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: Acting on information and following intensive investigations, securitymen from the Residence Security Affairs Department armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided an apartment and arrested an expatriate for selling recycled revenue stamps, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a statement issued by the General Department for Public Relations and Security Media the expatriate was put under surveillance for a long time and police have seized from the man recycled revenue stamps. During interrogation he admitted to the charge and said he removed the stamps from old transactions.

Drunkard arrested: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti for possessing and consuming alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a police source said the man was arrested in Farwaniya for reckless driving and moving against the flow of traffic. When he got out of the car to sign the citation, police discovered he was unable to stand. Surprisingly when the police asked the man if he was drunk he replied in the affirmative. Police then searched his vehicle and found two bottles of whisky.

Liquor peddler held: The Farwaniya police have arrested a Nepalese for trading in locally manufactured booze, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily said the bootlegger was arrested in Hassawi because after seeing a police patrol car he became nervous and tried to change direction. Police then ordered him to pull over and seized from his car 65 polyethylene bags filled with alcohol. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the authorities
