KUWAIT CITY, May 22: The General Department for Combating Narcotics has arrested an Asian national in possession of papers saturated with mind-altering substances, in what authorities described as an innovative method used to conceal and promote illegal drugs. The arrest was made as part of ongoing security campaigns by the Criminal Security Sector aimed at combating drug trafficking and uncovering new smuggling techniques.
According to the Ministry of Interior, anti-narcotics officers placed the suspect under surveillance before apprehending him and discovering 10 A4-sized papers laced with a chemical narcotic substance, along with 5 grams of shabu intended for trafficking and consumption. Authorities said the method of saturating paper with drugs is a modern tactic used by traffickers to evade detection and target users, particularly youth. Legal action has been taken, and the suspect, along with the seized items, has been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
