KUWAIT CITY, Mar 1: In a coordinated crackdown on illicit liquor trafficking, Hawally patrols apprehended an Asian expatriate caught red-handed while distributing contraband alcohol, authorities confirmed.

The arrest came after intelligence linked the suspect to the illegal liquor trade. An undercover agent monitored the suspect, who was observed at a prearranged delivery point in the Hawally area, handing over 35 plastic bottles of locally produced liquor. Acting on precise coordination with the informant, security forces moved in and arrested the suspect without resistance.

Officials said the detainee is expected to disclose the source of the liquor, paving the way for a raid on the illegal manufacturing operation. Authorities stressed that the case highlights ongoing vigilance against illegal alcohol distribution and organized criminal activity in the region.
