Asian Cleaning Worker Accused of Stabbing Colleague to Death at Kuwait Hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 7: Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department in the Capital Governorate have arrested an Asian cleaning worker accused of fatally stabbing a compatriot in the parking area of Al-Razi Hospital.

According to a security source, the suspect confessed during questioning that a previous dispute between the two men escalated into a verbal argument inside the hospital, where both were employed. The accused allegedly asked the victim to continue the discussion outside before the confrontation turned violent in the parking lot.

Investigators said the suspect then produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, causing fatal injuries.

The Ministry of Interior received a report yesterday morning about a violent altercation in the hospital parking area. Security personnel who arrived at the scene found the victim, an Asian expatriate, suffering from stab wounds and later confirmed dead.

The source said the suspect was arrested at the scene and the knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered by investigators.

Authorities are treating the case as a possible premeditated murder, citing several indicators, including the suspect’s possession of a knife before the confrontation.

The accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation and legal proceedings.
