Asian Air Safari join ‘magic 6’ as Ebonite snatch second spot

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Steered by the powerful combination of Salem Hajras (698) and Basil Al Anezi (637), Asian Air Safari clinch the week title and joined the elite ‘magic 6’ at the expense of ‘X’ Strikers in the fifth week of the PBAK-2018 Friendship Cup held at the Cozmo Entertainment Center Khaifan branch. Another potential champion, the Ebonite team snatched the second place after mercilessly demeaning the Pongky Strikers 3034-2518 while Haribon Slazers surprised Al Qassem All Stars 2774-2704.

Other teams that posted victory were “X’ Strikers, The Detonators and Cozmo Lane Specialists. Retrieving the Individual High Game from equally prolific scorer Yakoub Al Shatti, Salem Hajras delivered 213, 226 and 259 points that bested the 256 of the former.

This transpired during the match up of Asian Air Safari and NUSANTARA (3270-2653) where the Indonesian team extended their losing streak to five weeks while Asian Air recorded their third winning spree. Altough ‘X’ Strikers won the game against Swooping Eagles their membership in the ‘magic 6’ due to low output 2682-2538. ‘X’ Strikers keglers were Rocky Castil (273), Benyamin Hasan (255), Abel Nitikusumo (300), Bima Nitikusmo (403), Cris Carungay (253), Imelda Daguio (244) and Reygan Percy (236) while Swooping Eagles bowlers were Riz Roque (448), Clinton Cathers (349), Alonzo Bush (495) and Myrna Corpuz (346).

Cozmo easily cool down the Angelfire 2951-2435 and hteir bowlers were Lito Michael (550), Ruben Cervantes (510), Nheng Cervantes (497), Alex Cervantes (416), Bader Malalah (273) and Ely Ebreda (129) while Angelfire’s players were Jocelyn Barros (396), Leila Cervantes (366) and Melvin (365).

Results of the Special Features of the Tournament: For the Individual High Game for Men Class A, Asian Air Safari’s Salem Hajras redeemed from Ebonites’ Yaqoub Al Shatti (259-256); Men Class B — The Detonators’ Ali Ashkanani clutched tightly his 259 points; Men Class C — ‘X’ Strikers’ Benyamin Hasan (233) and for Ladies A — Asian Air Safari’s Sonia Mathews (220) and Ladies B — NUSANTARA’s Erlisa Gantosori (198).

For Individual High Average, Men Class A, Yaqoub Al Shatti better his old record (206.8-198.7), Class MB — Ali Ashkanani (228.5); Class MC — Gener Calingasan (159.7) and for Ladies A — Sonia Mathews (176.7) and Ladies B — Abel Nitikusumo snatched from Erlisa Gantosori (144.3-143.8).
