BANGKOK, May 14: Swimmers from Asia, Africa, and Oceania are gearing up for the upcoming Olympic Games, slated to commence on July 26th in Paris, by undergoing rigorous daily training at the International Aquatics Federation headquarters for development on the Thai island of Phuket.

These training sessions are integral components of the International Federation's initiatives aimed at enhancing swimming worldwide. Currently, 38 swimmers hailing from 38 different countries across Asia and Africa are actively participating in the training regimen in Phuket.

It's worth noting that similar training and development centers have been established in various locations such as Bahrain, Hungary, the United States, Australia, and France. This strategic plan was set in motion following Hussein Al-Musallam's assumption of the presidency of the International Federation in 2021 in the Qatari capital, Doha.
