Kuwaiti shooters Abdulrahman Al-Faihan and Sarah Al-Hawal

DOHA, Nov 9, (KUNA): President of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Homoud Al-Sabah on Friday praised the achievements of the Kuwaiti shooters in the 14th Asian Shooting Championship in Qatar.

In a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the championship, Sheikh Salman said these achievements indicate that the level of Kuwaiti shooting sport is progressing because of the great efforts exerted by the shooters and the keen follow-up from the Kuwaiti Shooting Federation.

Sheikh Salman congratulated the Kuwaiti Federation on winning four medals in the trap shooting competitions, in addition to the achievement of Abdulrahman Al-Faihan and Sarah Al-Hawal today in the first place and gold medal in the trap competitions (mixed).

He also congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on these achievements.

Sheikh Salman pointed out that Kuwait’s hosting of the headquarters of the Asian Shooting Confederation contributed to the development of the game on the continent.

He thanked the Qatari Shooting Federation and the organizing committee for the good organization of the tournament through the good preparation of Lusail shooting range.
