Article 22 Visa Violators in Kuwait Soon to Get Opportunity to Rectify Status?

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 26: The Ministry of Interior has denied reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media regarding the alleged approval for residency violators under Article 22 (family visa) to amend their legal status. In an official statement, the Ministry clarified that no decision or circular has been issued in this regard, stressing that such claims are completely false. The Ministry reiterated that all official decisions and circulars are announced exclusively through its authorized channels. It urged the public and media to verify information before sharing and to rely solely on updates published through the Ministry’s official platforms.

Some news media published earlier that, in a humanitarian move aimed at protecting families from separation and ensuring their stability, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, has instructed the issuance of a decision permitting violators of the “Dependent” visa (Article 22) to regularize their status. This opportunity applies to those who failed to rectify their residency situation during the previous grace period.
