Army officer gets 10-year jail in abduction, rape

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The Criminal Court sentenced a Kuwaiti military officer to ten-year imprisonment for kidnapping and raping a Pakistani teenager. The court, on the basis of the magnitude of the crime, refused to consider the victim’s withdrawal of the charges.

According to the case file, the parents of the victim had reported that their 14-year-old son was subjected to rape by the accused. Their statements were heard, as well as other relevant statements. The accused, in his statement, denied the accusation leveled against him.
