Army Fund petition up for Appeal Court deliberation

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: The Appeals Court will soon deliberate on the second petition submitted by defendants in the Army Fund case regarding the response of the Third Commercial Section in the Court of Appeals, headed by Judge Yousef Al-Omran, to consider the stay of execution request submitted by His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak; as well as the response of the president and members of the First Commercial Section in the Court of Cassation to consider the decision of the Court of Ministers to acquit the defendants, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Previously, the Court of Ministers acquitted former Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, former Minister of Interior and Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Jassar Al-Jassar, former military attaché in London Fahd Al-Baz, former military attaché in Bahrain Ali Al-Asaker, former military attaché in Lebanon Adel Al-Anzi, former Treasurer of the Army Samir Marjan, Treasurer of the Army Hamad Al-Banwan, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense Wael Al-Fraih and a colonel.
