Ardiya residents, check what you eat: 40.6kg of adulterated food destroyed

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: The General Authority for Food and Nutrition conducted an inspection campaign at several food establishments in the Al-Ardiya Industrial Area as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with approved health and food safety regulations.

The inspection resulted in the detection of several violations, including the sale and handling of expired and adulterated food products, as well as breaches related to health requirements and workers’ health certificates.

Authorities also destroyed 40.660 kilograms of expired food products and materials of unknown origin found during the inspection.

The General Authority for Food and Nutrition said it will continue its inspection campaigns and regulatory tours to protect food safety and safeguard consumer health.
